How Omekolo works
No app to install, no dashboard to check. Everything happens in one WhatsApp thread. Here’s the whole flow, start to finish.
1. You say hi, and tell it what you’re building
Message Omekolo on WhatsApp and say what you want to work on — a daily habit, a recurring count, an exam to prep for. It asks a couple of quick onboarding questions: roughly when you usually do the thing (so it knows when a nudge would actually help), and what time each day you’d like your check-in. No card required — you’re straight into a 15-day free trial.
2. Pick how it talks to you
During onboarding — or any time after, just by asking — you choose a coaching voice:
Sergeant
Direct and tough. No excuses.
Coach
Curious. Asks why things happened.
Friend
Casual, light, still honest.
Silent
Just tracks streaks. No commentary.
3. A daily check-in shows up — and expects a reply
At the time you picked, Omekolo messages you. You reply in your own words — “yeah did it,” “skipped today, was slammed,” whatever’s true. It reads your reply against whatever you’re tracking and updates your streak accordingly. There’s no form to fill in and no checkbox to tap — just answer like you would a friend who asked.
Miss a day and it doesn’t reset you to zero for one slip: a long streak (14+ days) can survive an occasional miss, and one explained miss a month is forgiven. Go quiet longer and it nudges you on days 2, 3, and 5 — then waits, without piling on.
4. Every Sunday, a real weekly review
Not a vague summary — an actual visual tracker: a 7-day grid per goal (✅ / 🟡 / ❌ / ⬜), your current streak, and an overall score for the week, followed by a short AI insight that reads the pattern (“only Monday slipped, same as last week — is Monday the actual problem?”) rather than generic advice. If you’re also journaling or tracking tasks, those get their own section in the same message — entries this week and their themes, tasks completed vs. still open.
5. More than habits, in the same thread
Daily tasks
“Remind me to call the dentist at 3pm.” Done. Link a task to a goal and it counts as real progress on it.
Journaling
Text what’s on your mind; get 2-3 questions back that make you think. Free for your first 3 months.
Exam prep
A study plan, daily session check-ins, and a quiz on what you actually studied. Coming soon.
6. You stay in control with plain-text commands
No settings menu to hunt through — just say the word:
- PAUSE / RESUME — silence check-ins anytime, come back whenever
- STOP — cancel check-ins entirely
- CANCEL SUBSCRIPTION — stop billing on a paid plan
- MY DATA — get a copy of everything Omekolo has on you
- DELETE MY DATA — full account erasure within 30 days
These always work exactly as typed — no AI guessing on anything that touches your data or your bill.
